The Margot and Bill Winspear Opera House, located in the Arts District of downtown Dallas, is a 2009 venue designed by Foster and Partners as a 21st-century reinterpretation of the traditional opera house. Seating 2,200 in a traditional horseshoe configuration, it serves as home to The Dallas Opera and the Texas Ballet Theater, and hosts a diverse array of cultural programming including music, dance, Broadway productions, concerts, and lectures through the AT&T Performing Arts Center. The facility also includes the Nancy Hamon Education and Recital Hall, a flexible auxiliary space accommodating audiences up to 200 for smaller performances, classes, rehearsals, and events.
