Mari-Castle, a historic summer estate at 41-43 South Main Street in Randolph, Vermont, was built in 1886 for Albert Brown Chandler, president of the Postal Telegraph Company and a Randolph native. Named for Chandler's wife Marilla, the house exemplifies the châteauesque and Queen Anne styles that defined the era's grandest residences. It was the town's finest summer house of its period, reflecting Chandler's prominence in both business and local philanthropy—he also funded construction of the Chandler Music Hall. The estate, now adapted for professional office use, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.
