The Harry H. Nichols House, located at 216 South 4th Avenue in Maywood, Illinois, is a Queen Anne–style residence built in 1894 for Harry H. Nichols, the village's former postmaster and son of founder William T. Nichols. Designed during the height of Queen Anne popularity, the house exemplifies the style's characteristic exuberance through a wraparound front porch with balustrade, a gabled entrance topped with a sunburst motif, a projecting gabled bay on its south side, and a rectangular tower anchoring its southeast corner. The interior incorporates neoclassical elements—urns, columns, and cornices—likely inspired by the recent Columbian Exposition. One of only two large, formal Queen Anne homes in Maywood, the house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on February 24, 1992.
