The Mark Temple House in Reading, Massachusetts, is a 2½-story timber-frame dwelling built around 1753 by Jonathan Temple. Originally constructed in the Georgian style, the house underwent substantial remodeling in the 1850s when a later resident known as "Uncle Mark" Temple transformed it into the Greek Revival style then prevalent in the region—a process that included rotating the building 90 degrees and raising its foundation. The property later passed to Oscar Foote, a locally prominent real estate developer and businessman, who acquired it in 1863. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.
