The Market Hall in Stuttgart-Mitte, designed by architect Martin Elsaesser, is a reinforced concrete structure completed in the Art Nouveau style. As a designated Kulturdenkmal (cultural monument), it represents an important example of early twentieth-century market architecture in Germany, combining the ornamental sensibility of Art Nouveau with the structural possibilities offered by modern concrete construction.
