Masjid-al-Noor, located at 430 Logy Bay Road in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, is the first and easternmost mosque in Canada. Built in 1990 by the Muslim Association of Newfoundland and Labrador, it serves a congregation that includes many students and faculty from Memorial University of Newfoundland. As the only mosque in the province for decades, it has become a focal point for the Muslim community and has received significant public attention, particularly following events of international significance such as the 2019 Christchurch shootings, when the mosque held memorial services. In 2025, the congregation expanded with a second location, Masjid Suleman Dawood, at 135 Torbay Road.
