The McDonald Smith Building is a two-storey limestone and brick heritage structure in Fremantle, Western Australia, designed by architect Herbert Nathaniel Davis and completed in 1895 during the gold rush boom period. Built in the Victorian Classical Revival style, the building features a rendered facade with stucco ornamentation and housed ten apartments primarily occupied by commercial enterprises. The site has earlier significance: it was previously home to a cottage constructed around 1860 by Francis Henry Vincent, a former Rottnest superintendent, substantial remnants of which remain at the rear of the main building. The McDonald Smith Building was classified by the National Trust of Australia in August 1983 and listed on the Register of the National Estate.
