Located in Eldon, Iowa, the McHaffey Opera House is a historic theatre built in 1891 that served the community through the 1940s. After decades of disuse, a volunteer community group purchased the building in 1995 and undertook restoration efforts. The opera house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in November 1995.
