The McRae House, a two-story brick residence at 1113 East 3rd Street in Hope, Arkansas, exemplifies the Prairie School architectural style in its early twentieth-century form. Designed by Charles L. Thompson and completed around 1917, the house presents a restrained interpretation of the movement, featuring a simple main block distinguished by a modest entrance portico. Six Tuscan columns on brick plinths support the porch, which displays curved beams, while the facade echoes these columns through pilasters. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982, the house represents a notable regional expression of Prairie design principles.
