Located at 617 South Sixth Street in Rogers, Arkansas, the Merrill House is a single-story brick and masonry structure built in 1917 that exemplifies Prairie School architecture in the region. Designed by and built for A. W. Merrill, a local woodworker and lumber yard owner, the house features a distinctive hip roof with bell-cast shape and wide overhangs, hallmarks of the Prairie School style. A central projecting section containing three grouped windows is flanked by both screened and open porches, while the horizontal organization of stone and brickwork throughout recalls the aesthetic principles of Frank Lloyd Wright's influential movement. The house represents a nearly complete rebuild of an earlier structure dating to around 1880, and remains the only Prairie School-influenced residence in Rogers. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.
