Located on Pearl Street in Medina, New York, the Medina Armory is a large stone building constructed in the early twentieth century by state architect George Heins for the 29th Separate Company of the New York Army National Guard—his first armory commission for the state. Built in the Victorian architectural style, the structure served the Guard until its closure in 1977, after which the 29th Separate Company was absorbed into other New York-based units. The building was repurposed as a local YMCA and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995 alongside other New York armories.
