The Metropolitan Opera House, built in 1890 in downtown Grand Forks, North Dakota, is a Romanesque Revival structure located at 116 South Third Street facing the Red River of the North. Historically regarded as one of the finest opera houses between Minneapolis and Seattle, the building originally served as a theater and opera venue. Today it has been repurposed as the Opera House Lofts, an apartment complex, preserving the landmark as part of the community's architectural heritage and listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
