In late 18th-century Istanbul, Mihrişah Sultan founded this Ottoman charitable complex adjacent to the Eyüp Sultan Mosque, its largest structure being an imaret—a soup kitchen that remains one of the last in the city still fulfilling its original charitable function. The külliye exemplifies Ottoman Baroque architecture, distinguished by an ornate street-facing sebil (public fountain pavilion) and the founder's mausoleum, making it a notable repository of both architectural refinement and sustained philanthropic purpose.
