The Miles Brewton House in Charleston, South Carolina, is a National Historic Landmark and one of America's finest examples of Georgian architecture. Built around 1765–1769 for Miles Brewton, a wealthy slave trader and planter, this residential complex showcases the double-house plan—four principal rooms per floor arranged around a central stair hall—organized according to Palladian principles. Set on two acres, the house is accompanied by an extensive collection of dependencies, making it one of the most complete Georgian townhouse complexes surviving in the United States.
