Milton, also known as the Loughborough House, is a Georgian-style granite residence in Bethesda, Montgomery County, Maryland. Built in two phases—an original one-and-a-half-story section constructed before 1820 and a two-story three-bay addition added in 1847—the house exemplifies early-nineteenth-century domestic architecture of uncoursed stone construction. The property includes period outbuildings: a square stone smokehouse with a hipped roof and a nineteenth-century stone ice house. The home belonged to Nathan Loughborough, who served as Comptroller of the Treasury under President John Adams, and later housed agricultural economist Mordecai J. Ezekiel from 1934 through the 1970s. Milton was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.
