Completed in 1999 in Vienna's Brigittenau district, the Millennium Tower stands 202 metres tall across 50 floors, making it Austria's second-tallest building. Designed by architects Gustav Peichl, Boris Podrecca, and Rudolf Weber, this mixed-use skyscraper combines 38,500 square metres of office space with residential accommodation, a shopping centre, restaurants, and a multiplex cinema across its lower levels. Built as the centrepiece of the Millennium City complex to mark the arrival of the third millennium, the tower was constructed with remarkable speed—modern techniques and efficient planning enabled construction of an average of 2½ floors per week.
