The Mirror Lake Community Library in Florida is a Beaux-Arts Carnegie library completed in 1915, one of ten such institutions in the state to receive funding from the Carnegie Corporation of New York between 1901 and 1917. Financed by steel magnate and philanthropist Andrew Carnegie, whose foundation supported over 3,000 libraries across the United States, Canada, and Europe, this building represents a landmark in local civic development. It served as the first permanent home of the city's public library system and stands as an architectural expression of the community's transformation from a pioneer village into a city with established cultural institutions during the early twentieth century. The library is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
