Located at 618 W. Chicago Avenue on Chicago's Near North Side, the Montgomery Ward Company Complex is the former national headquarters of Montgomery Ward, America's oldest mail order firm. Designed by architect Richard E. Schmidt in the Chicago School style, the complex sits along the North Branch of the Chicago River. It was designated a National Historic Landmark and listed on the National Register of Historic Places on June 2, 1978.
