Located at 3821 Lindell Boulevard in St. Louis, Missouri, Moolah Temple is a historic Moorish Revival structure completed in 1914 by architect Ernest Helfensteller, Jr. of the firm Helfensteller, Hirsch and Watson. Built as the 28th chartered Shrine Temple for the Moolah Shriners organization, the brick and tile building features the "colorful" architectural detailing characteristic of its Moorish style. After serving the Shriners until 1988, the temple underwent a transformative $17.2 million renovation in 2004, subsequently operating as a movie theater and housing 40 apartments. It remains home to Moolah Lanes, the oldest operating bowling alley in St. Louis. The building is a contributing structure within the Midtown Historic District and is listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places, fronting the city park Kenrick Garden.
