The Mosselprom building, located in central Moscow at the intersection of Kalashny, Nizhny Kislovksy, and Maly Kislovky streets, stands as a landmark of Russian constructivism and avant-garde architecture. Designed by architect N. D. Strukov, the structure has a complex history: originally conceived as a seven-story apartment house with a restaurant in 1912–13, it collapsed during construction in 1913. After partial reconstruction by 1917, the building was expanded between 1923 and 1925 with two additional floors to accommodate offices and storage for Mosselprom, the Moscow Rural Cooperative Administration overseeing flour, confectionery, chocolate, brewery, and tobacco operations. The building is particularly notable for painted panels by renowned artists Alexander Rodchenko and Varvara Stepanova. By the 1930s it returned to residential use; the linguist Viktor Vinogradov inhabited it from 1964 to 1969. Following restoration in 1997, it now houses a branch of the Russian Academy of Theatre Arts and retains status as a regional cultural heritage site.
