The Murphy-Burroughs House is a three-story Georgian Revival residence located at 2505 1st Street in Fort Myers, Florida, overlooking the Caloosahatchee River. Built in 1901 for cattle rancher John T. Murphy, it was the city's first year-round luxury home and sparked the local building boom that followed. The house features a distinctive veranda wrapping around three sides and includes Mona's Dancing Porch extending from its east elevation. Added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 1, 1984, the property has been owned by the City of Fort Myers since 1978, when Mona Burroughs bequeathed it to the municipality. Today it operates as a living history venue and event space, enhanced by a waterfront pavilion completed in 2015.
