The Musikalische Komödie (colloquially MuKo) is a theatre in Leipzig's Lindenau district dedicated to operettas and musicals, housed in the Haus Dreilinden. Though technically one of three sections of the Oper Leipzig, it functions as an autonomous institution with its own ensemble of soloists, choir, ballet company, and orchestra. Its repertoire encompasses Spieloper, operetta, and musical theatre, and the independence of its company and venue has established it as a distinct cultural presence in the city's musical life.
