Located in Annapolis, Maryland, the Naval Academy Chapel is a Beaux-Arts and Renaissance Revival cruciform church completed in 1908 by architects Paul Philippe Cret and Ernest Flagg. Built from brick, granite, terracotta, concrete, and copper, the chapel serves as one of nine designated worship spaces at the United States Naval Academy and hosts both Protestant and Catholic services. Its distinctive dome has become an iconic focal point for the Academy and the city of Annapolis, traditionally marking the moment when third-class midshipmen returning from summer cruise achieve their "Youngster" status. The chapel was instrumental in the Academy's designation as a National Historic Landmark in 1961 and is listed as a contributing property on the National Register of Historic Places.
