Demolished or destroyed.
The Neues Tor was a city gate designed by Karl Friedrich Schinkel and built in Berlin's Mitte district in 1836. Though it stood for only twenty-four years before its demolition in 1860, the structure represented Schinkel's neoclassical approach to civic architecture during the Prussian era.
