The New West End Synagogue, located in St. Petersburgh Place, Bayswater, in London's City of Westminster, was completed in 1879 and remains one of the oldest synagogues in active use in the United Kingdom. Designed by architect George Ashdown Audsley, the building exemplifies Moorish Revival architecture infused with Creative Eclecticism, incorporating symbolic references to Islamic, Japanese, Gothic Revival, Saracenic, and Classical Revival styles. Designated a Grade I listed building by Historic England in 1975, it has served as the home of an Orthodox Jewish congregation since its completion and membership in the United Synagogue.
