Located in Rosewood Park in Highland Park, Illinois, the North Shore Sanitary District Tower is a 50-foot brick structure built in 1931 to ventilate the local sewer system. Designed by Samuel Arnold Greeley, it stands as an unusual example of Art Deco styling applied to functional infrastructure, distinguished by its decorative spire, stone door trim, and stone windowsills. Though built purely for engineering purposes, the tower's formal architectural treatment elevates it beyond typical utility structures. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on June 30, 1983.
