The Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help and St. Eugene stands in the Carrasco neighbourhood of Montevideo, Uruguay, where it is locally known as the Iglesia de la Cruz de Carrasco after its location at a prominent crossing in Las Canteras. Designed by architect Horacio Terra Arocena in a modern Neo-Byzantine style reminiscent of Haghia Sophia, the church replaced an earlier small chapel from around 1943 and was consecrated in 1951. The parish itself was formally established on 31 December 1949.
