Aarhus Old City Hall, completed in 1857, stands as the second and oldest preserved city hall of this Danish city, located on the corner of Domkirkepladsen and Mejlgade adjacent to Aarhus Cathedral in the central Indre By neighbourhood. Designed in the Renaissance Revival style, the building has served multiple civic functions over its history, including as a police station, and today operates as a museum complex housing both the Gender Museum and the Occupation Museum. The structure was formally recognized as a protected monument in the Danish national registry in 1996.
