The Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) is the graduate school of education at the University of Toronto, housed in a brutalist building completed in 1965 and designed by architect Kenneth R. Cooper. Located at 252 Bloor Street West on the university's St. George campus, the building sits directly above the St. George subway station, making it a prominent presence in the downtown Toronto landscape. The institute also operates the nearby Jackman Institute of Child Study at 45 Walmer Street, and extends its programming to the University of Toronto's Mississauga campus.
