The Palacio de Fabio Nelli in Valladolid, Spain, stands as the city's finest Renaissance palace and a masterwork of classical civil architecture. Commissioned by banker Fabio Nelli and begun in 1576, the palace was largely realized by Pedro of Mazuecos El Mozo, though its two-decade construction was interrupted by the death of the original architect, Juan de la Lastra, and periods of inactivity. Decorated in the Italian classicist style, its façade, courtyard, and stairs exemplify Renaissance refinement and remain hallmarks of Valladolid's architectural heritage. After Nelli's death, the palace passed through various uses until the twentieth century, when it became home to the Valladolid Museum, devoted to preserving the province's archaeological and artistic collections. Now a bien de interés cultural, the structure survives in relatively good condition, though its courtyard and façade await restoration.
