The Park East Synagogue, located at 163 East 67th Street on Manhattan's Upper East Side, is a Modern Orthodox Jewish house of worship erected in 1890. Designed by the architectural firm Schneider & Herter, the building exemplifies the eclectic tastes of the Gilded Age through its combination of Byzantine Revival and Moorish Revival styles, rendered in stone and wood. Originally known as Congregation Zichron Ephraim, the synagogue earned recognition as a New York City Landmark in 1980 and was subsequently listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.
