Located at the corner of Sixth and I Streets in Washington, D.C.'s Chinatown neighborhood, the Sixth & I Historic Synagogue is one of the city's oldest synagogues, completed in 1908. Its architecture blends Byzantine Revival and Moorish Revival styles, reflecting the eclectic design vocabulary of early twentieth-century American synagogues. Today functioning as a non-denominational congregation, it serves both traditional religious services across multiple Jewish denominations and hosts lectures, concerts, and art exhibitions for the broader public. The building's sanctuary accommodates 750 people across two levels, while its social hall seats 250 and two multi-purpose rooms each hold up to 75 people.
