The Peter Quarnberg House is a Queen Anne–style residence built in 1900 in Scipio, Utah, by Swedish-born builder Antone Peterson for Peter J. Quarnberg, a Swedish immigrant and Latter-day Saint convert who had settled in the area in 1872. Quarnberg and his wife Caroline Marie Hanseen, also from Sweden, raised five sons and two daughters in the house before it passed to their son Archie and later to his daughter Coleen Quarnberg Memmot. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1982, the house stands as a testament to the Swedish immigrant community that established itself in Scipio during the nineteenth century.
