Built in 1911 in Philippi, West Virginia, this Baltimore and Ohio Railroad station exemplifies the Mission style—a rare expression of Mediterranean and Spanish Colonial Revival architecture in the state. After passenger service ended in 1956, the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad adapted the building as a workshop. The city acquired the structure in 1979 and undertook restoration work, transforming it into the Barbour County Historical Museum. The station was recognized on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.
