Philipse Manor station is a commuter rail stop in the Philipse Manor neighborhood of Sleepy Hollow, New York, serving Metro-North Railroad's Hudson Line. Built around 1910 and opened on January 30, 1911, the station exemplifies Tudorbethan architecture and stands as one of only two stations on the Hudson Line—alongside Poughkeepsie—to earn recognition on the National Register of Historic Places for its architectural integrity as an early commuter rail facility. The site itself carries historical weight: it occupies land once part of the vast Philipsburg Manor, which was confiscated after the American Revolutionary War and subsequently parceled out. Before becoming a railway station, the property changed hands among various owners, including Rodrigo Curls, a Portuguese immigrant engaged in fishing, and Ambrose Kingsland, a wealthy merchant and politician who maintained a large country estate along this stretch of the Hudson River.
