Pitzhanger Manor is a Grade I listed Regency country house in Walpole Park, Ealing, west of London, designed and built by the neoclassical architect Sir John Soane between 1800 and 1804. Soane conceived the manor as both a family residence and an entertainment venue, intending it to establish a dynasty of architects among his sons. Now a heritage attraction and contemporary art gallery, the building was established as a museum in 1987 and underwent a three-year conservation project beginning in 2015, led by Ealing Council with support from the National Lottery Heritage Fund. The restoration, completed in March 2019, returned the Grade I listed building to Soane's original designs, revealing his vision for the first time in over 175 years.
