Po-i-Kalyan is an Islamic religious complex in Bukhara, Uzbekistan, built in 1121. The ensemble comprises three principal structures: the Kalan Mosque, the Kalan Minaret (from which the complex takes its name, meaning "At the Foot of the Great One"), and the Mir-i-Arab Madrasah, which are arranged around a central square courtyard. A bazaar and baths flank the complex on its northern and southern sides, connected to the minaret. The congregational mosque ranks among Central Asia's largest, second only to the Bibi Khanum Mosque in Samarkand and the Great Mosque of Herat in Afghanistan.
