The Temple of Isthmia is an ancient Greek sanctuary dedicated to Poseidon, located on the Isthmus of Corinth approximately 16 kilometers east of ancient Corinth. Originally constructed in the seventh century BC during the Archaic Period, the temple was destroyed in 470 BC and subsequently rebuilt around 440 BC in the Classical period. The site represents an important religious center within the Greek world and remains an archaeological site protected in Greece, preserving evidence of both Archaic and Classical Greek architectural traditions.
