The Public Service Building stands at 344–354 North Milwaukee Avenue in Libertyville, Illinois, a commercial block erected in 1928 for utility magnate Samuel Insull. Designed by architect Hermann V. von Holst, the building exemplifies an eclectic approach to historicism, drawing primarily from Gothic Tudor Revival and Plateresque traditions. Its ornamental detailing and architectural vocabulary reflect the romantic medievalism favored in early twentieth-century American commercial architecture. The structure is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
