The Qila-i-Kuhna Mosque, located inside the Purana Qila in central Delhi, was built around 1541 by Sher Shah Suri after his defeat of Humayun. Constructed as a private mosque for the ruler, it stands as a symbol of his royal aspirations and represents Islamic architecture of the Mughal era. Today, the mosque is designated a Monument of National Importance and is administered by the Archaeological Survey of India.
