Railway Dugouts Burial Ground, situated in the Ypres Salient on Belgium's Western Front, is a Commonwealth War Graves Commission cemetery established in 1915 to commemorate First World War dead. Designed by John Reginald Truelove and Edwin Lutyens, the burial ground was granted to the United Kingdom in perpetuity by King Albert I of Belgium in recognition of British sacrifices during the defence and liberation of Belgian territory. Now designated a beschermd monument, the cemetery remains a maintained memorial to those who fell during the conflict.
