Dickebusch New Military Cemetery, located in the Ypres Salient in Belgium, is a Commonwealth War Graves Commission burial ground designed by Wilfred Clement Von Berg and Edwin Lutyens and established in 1915 to honor the dead of the First World War. The cemetery grounds were assigned to the United Kingdom in perpetuity by King Albert I of Belgium in recognition of British sacrifices during the defense and liberation of Belgium. Now a protected monument, the site represents both the architectural legacy of Lutyens' war memorial designs and a solemn testament to the Western Front's human cost.
