Divisional Cemetery in Vlamertinge at Ypres, Belgium, is a Commonwealth War Graves Commission burial ground established in 1915 to honour the First World War dead. Designed by William Harrison Cowlishaw and Edwin Lutyens, the cemetery sits on grounds granted in perpetuity to the United Kingdom by King Albert I of Belgium in recognition of British sacrifices during the defence and liberation of Belgium. Now a protected monument, it stands as a permanent memorial on the Western Front landscape.
