At the southern terminus of Bryce Canyon National Park's Rim Road in Utah stands the Rainbow Point Comfort Station and Overlook Shelter, a pair of structures designed in 1939 by A.V. Jory of the National Park Service Branch of Plans and Designs and built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1940. Both buildings exemplify the National Park Service Rustic style. The comfort station, set back from the canyon rim, employs V-joint wood shiplap siding with half-round logs covering the joints and log-framed roof rafters. The overlook shelter, positioned directly on the canyon's edge, features massive vertical log posts supporting a log-framed roof, with vertical board siding infilling the rear half and enclosing two small storage areas, while the front remains open to the canyon vista. The structures are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
