Reichenstein Castle, also known as Falkenburg, rises from a mountain spur on the eastern slope of the Bingen Forest above Trechtingshausen in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. Founded around 1100, the castle stands within the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Upper Middle Rhine Valley and is designated a Kulturdenkmal (cultural monument). Today it functions as a hotel and museum while retaining its castle ruins, preserving its medieval character within one of Europe's most significant river landscapes.
