This Amsterdam School residential block on Edammerstraat in Amsterdam features four kitchen dwellings, a typological innovation marked by the forward placement of kitchens—a notable departure from earlier domestic arrangements. The building is distinguished by a wooden gable at its side and exemplifies the distinctive brick and decorative vocabulary of the Amsterdam School style. Now designated a Rijksmonument, it represents early twentieth-century Dutch housing reform and modernist residential design.
