The B.S. Ricks Memorial Library in Yazoo City, Mississippi, is a Beaux-Arts structure completed in 1902 and named in honor of General B.S. Ricks. Funded by his widow, Fannie Ricks, the building opened in 1901 and was formally dedicated on January 1, 1902. The library itself has deeper roots: it was originally founded as a membership library in 1838, making the Ricks building a purpose-built home for an institution with over six decades of prior existence. Located at 310 North Main Street, the library continues to serve its community and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and designated a Mississippi Landmark.
