Riga Central Market is Europe's largest market and bazaar, occupying 72,300 square metres in Latvia's capital. Built between 1924 and 1930, its five principal pavilions were ingeniously constructed from repurposed German Zeppelin hangars, blending Neoclassicism and Art Deco styling. The market accommodates more than 3,000 trade stands and stands as one of Latvia's most significant twentieth-century structures. Recognized alongside Old Riga as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1998, it remains a landmark of adaptive architectural vision and urban commerce.
