The Royal Laundry Complex in Pasadena, California, is a circa 72,500-square-foot industrial laundry and office building designed by Gordon Kaufmann in 1927. Kaufmann's Spanish Colonial Revival design incorporates Streamline Moderne elements, marking a stylistic transition toward modernism that would characterize his subsequent work. The architect, who also designed the Hoover Dam and several California Institute of Technology buildings, created a structure that exemplifies the interplay of classical revival and streamlined contemporary aesthetics. Now listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the complex has served as headquarters for both the Disney Store and currently houses Bluebeam, Inc.
