El Capitan Theatre, completed in 1926 on Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles, is a meticulously restored movie palace exemplifying Mediterranean Revival and Spanish Colonial Revival architecture. Designated a Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument, the theater has been owned by The Walt Disney Company since its restoration and now regularly hosts premieres for Walt Disney Studios films. The adjacent Hollywood Masonic Temple, now operating as the El Capitan Entertainment Centre, is also part of the Disney-owned complex.
